The police officer was taken to Logan Hospital with a minor leg injury for treatment.
Police said that, a short time later, the vehicle collided with a police car nearby after it failed to stop and a tyre stinger was used.
The 18-year-old Spring Creek man is charged with one count each of attempted murder, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and disqualified driving, along with a number of traffic-related charges.
He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on December 24.
Police are still searching for the passenger of the vehicle, who fled after the collision with the police car.
The incident is one of several in Queensland in the past three months.

The 24-year-old had spent almost two months in hospital recovering from his critical injuries.
About three weeks earlier on September 1, a police officer was also in a serious condition after he was hit and carried on a stolen car’s bonnet for about 30 metres in Brisbane’s north.
