Man charged after eight seriously injured in alleged Wilson hit-and-run

The driver of the Toyota, a 34-year-old man, received facial injuries and allegedly fled the scene, believed to have boarded a bus on Leach Highway and travelled to Bentley before being later apprehended by police.

The man has been charged with several offences relating to failure to stop and render assistance and reporting a serious crash. No charges have been laid in relation to the stolen Hilux.

He is due to face Perth Magistrates Court on Monday.

Major Crash officers are continuing to investigate and would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the Toyota Hilux before the crash.
