Pedestrian critical after being hit by bus in Sydney’s east

A pedestrian is in a critical condition after he was struck by a bus in Sydney’s east.

Emergency services were called to Anzac Parade in Moore Park about 12.34pm on Monday and found the 70-year-old man with a serious head injury.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.

The bus driver was treated for shock at the scene but did not need to be admitted to hospital, a spokeswoman for NSW Ambulance said. However, he was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
