Investigative journalist Adele Ferguson has won her 22nd Quill Award for journalism at the annual Melbourne Press Club awards.

Ferguson’s win of the Business News Quill on Friday night was one of eight awards won by The Age‘s journalists, photographers and artists, from 37 nominations.

Ferguson was awarded for her work on ‘A Mongrel Bunch of Bastards’, a joint investigation on the Australian Tax Office between The Age and ABC’s Four Corners with Nassim Khadem, Lucy Carter and Lesley Robinson.

The Quill Awards judges praised the ATO series as “a chilling story, told well and tightly structured”.
