Boys seriously burned by spray can explosion in Parmelia bushland

Three children have been taken to hospital suffering burns from an explosion after throwing a can of spray paint into a fire in Parmelia on Wednesday.

Nine News Perth reported the boys, all aged under ten, suffered serious burns to their hands and legs, and had red paint stained across their bodies, after lighting a fire in bushland.

A day on from the explosion, the group, who are from the same family, remain in Perth Children’s Hospital.

After receiving the burns, the three are seen on CCTV footage, running to the nearest front yard to hose themselves down.
