Michael Mosley’s Reset
He may not have practised medicine for 25 years, but Michael Mosley has gone to the bank in his tangential career of translating modern health sciences for a concerned middle-aged and Boomer audience (and a big hello to anyone who’s bought his diet book The Fast 800, ahem). This humble little three-part series that sees the modern-day wellness seer chew the fat with a panel over common ailments (obesity, depression and anxiety and gut health) doesn’t aim too high, as befitting something sponsored by Medibank. Like Q&A without the partisan politics, it occasionally lacks a point, and this week’s mental health episode features so much supportive agreement it’s like a Men’s Shed program distilled into 30 minutes. It finds its groove when discussing whether Australia’s anti-depressant happy society is really the right way forward.
