The Sydney Swans have locked away three key pillars of the club’s future with first-year players James Rowbottom, Justin McInerney and Harry Reynolds all signing contract extensions.
Victorian trio Rowbottom, McInerney and Reynolds were all part of the draft class of 2018 and – along with academy product Nick Blakey, who re-signed in January – shape as core components of their next AFL premiership team.
Rowbottom (pick 25) and McInerney (pick 44) have penned fresh two-year deals that will keep them tied to the Swans until the end of 2022. Reynolds, meanwhile, will be at the club until at least 2020 after lengthening his rookie contract by another season.
