Carlton’s young key forward Charlie Curnow limped from Optus Stadium with a knee injury early in the first quarter of their game against Fremantle.
Curnow grabbed for his right knee as soon as he went to ground after colliding with Docker Ethan Hughes.
He went straight in to the changerooms for treatment, but was unable to return to the field.
He may have escaped serious injury though, with the early diagnosis being a low-grade medial ligament injury.
The Dockers 6.3 (39) led by 10 points at halftime over the Blues 4.5 (29).
