A man has been arrested after the alleged stabbing of a taxi driver last month.
The 26-year-old from Morwell was arrested in Carrum Downs on Saturday, following an investigation into the stabbing. He is assisting police with their enquiries.
The taxi driver, a 38-year-old-man from Eumemmerring in Melbourne’s outer south east, had arrived to pick up a passenger where it is alleged the passenger pulled a knife and demanded money.
A scuffle ensued and the driver sustained multiple stab wounds to the arm, before fending the attacker off.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition and has since been released.
