A woman has been allegedly held captive in a bedroom and threatened with metal poles during an early morning home invasion in Melbourne’s south-west.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was one of at least six victims in a string of violent home invasions in Hoppers Crossing, Manor Lakes and Wyndham Vale on Wednesday.
She was house sitting for a family member in Wyndham Vale when she says a carload of people, allegedly armed with poles, forced their way inside about 7am.
The men allegedly held the woman captive in a bedroom of the Bookar Place property before stealing her car and mobile phone.
The alleged victim then ran to a neighbour’s house to raise the alarm.
