Brisbane home invaders end up in hospital

Two masked men who threatened an inner-north Brisbane resident with a knife and crowbar have themselves ended up in hospital.

The pair went to a Kelvin Grove unit about 9.35pm on Saturday and hit the 39-year-old male resident in the head, demanding money.

Police said a struggle broke out and one of the masked men was struck several times in the head and neck with a knife.

The duo fled, leaving in a car driven by a woman.

Officers found the car in nearby Stafford a short time later and the men were taken to hospital with face and neck injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police are investigating.
