Reynolds signs 10-year Supercars deal with Erebus

Reynolds joined Erebus in 2016, winning four races as well as his Bathurst victory and claimed 17 podiums in that time.

He is yet to win a race in 2019, however, with most of his headlines being generated by a war of words with championship leader Scott McLaughlin after the pit tangled at the Townsville 400.

Erebus chief executive Barry Ryan said he was proud to lock down 34-year-old Reynolds for such a long-term deal.

“Both Erebus and Dave believe in each other; we can feel a sense of security simply based on the length of the term and the commitment shown,” Ryan said.

“Dave has brilliant driving skills, but he’s also brought a very calm nature to our team which can be very important in sometimes stressful sports, like motorsport.

“We have achieved a lot together, but at the same time still feel we have so much more to prove.”

The deal also means Penrite Racing will have an unchanged driver line-up in 2020 with Anton de Pasquale committing to race for the team next year in July.

“Having them locked away for a third season together means we can hit the ground running and go to each event with history on our side, which only enhances performance,” Ryan said.
