Because of the location of the car, the teenager was stuck in her bedroom for some time before emergency crews could remove enough debris to let her out.

The Queensland Police Service said the Nissan Qashqai had false number plates and is suspected to be stolen.

The driver of the car immediately fled the scene and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

In particular they’re appealing for anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV of the vehicle prior to the crash to contact police
