GWS likely to make just two changes to grand final side

Greater Western Sydney are likely to make just two changes for Saturday’s grand final against Richmond, as key pair Lachie Whitfield and Toby Greene return.

One of the players who came in as a replacement for Greene and Whitfield in the preliminary final, teenager Bobby Hill, shapes as a likely omission from the team that upset Collingwood last weekend.

Barring a mishap or setback, Whitfield is certain to play, having pulled out last week following key-hole surgery to remove his appendix. Whitfield trained without issue today.

While versatile tall Lachie Keeffe was the other Giant who came in for the absent stars in the thrilling preliminary final, Keeffe performed so well as a defender against Collingwood that he has given the GWS match committee a difficult decision on the second omission.
