A police officer and a teenage girl have been hospitalised after being hit by an allegedly stolen car driven by a 19-year-old man north of Geelong.
The teenage girl had been a passenger in the car, but had just been removed and arrested by the officer.
The incident unfolded when police located the allegedly stolen Hyundai at Yaraan Street, Bell Park, about 1am.
The female passenger was arrested but the car sped away when approached, crashing into the girl and the officer, and then into a divisional van.
Police followed the car a short distance to Ballarat Road where it rammed another police vehicle before it was stopped and the driver arrested.
The Leading Senior Constable, who was hit by the car, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening leg injuries.
The 19-year-old driver and his female passenger are in custody and both are receiving treatment in hospital.
