Two cases of measles have broken out in Brisbane’s south and Logan in the past week, health authorities warn.
Anyone who visited Beenleigh’s Main Street Medical and Dental Centre and Queensland Diagnostic Imaging on Thursday, October 3, between 3.30pm and 7.40pm should seek medical advice if they develop symptoms of measles.
The infected people were also at 7-Eleven Kingston South on Juers Street on Saturday, October 6, before 10am and the QEII Jubilee Hospital emergency department between 4pm and 6pm. From Sunday to Monday they were at the Logan Hospital emergency department.
Measles can be a serious illness with complications including pneumonia and encephalitis, which can be fatal.
