The Boomers co-captain led from the front against the Spirit, and her team needed her double-double to overcome a late fightback from the visitors. Two free throws from import Sophie Cunningham with eight seconds remaining locked in the win.

Southside Flyers are also undefeated, moving to 3-0 after they beat the Sydney Uni Flames 85-72 in Sydney on Saturday. Flyers and Opals captain Jenna O’Hea again starred with 22 points, six rebounds and six assists.
