Collingwood have announced that five players have re-committed to the club, headlined by veteran 2010 premiership player Ben Reid, forward Travis Varcoe and midfielder Rupert Wills.
Reid, Varcoe and Wills were joined by Tim Broomhead and category B rookie Jack Madgen in putting pen to paper for the club, with all signing for one year. Broomhead’s is a rookie contract.
Wills, 26, considered his options at other AFL clubs after an impressive end to the 2019 season while Reid will go around again despite another injury interrupted year.
The 63rd pick in the 2015 national draft – he was a tackling machine for the Pies midfield in 2019, doing plenty of grunt work for the class that surrounds him.
