Police raid uncovers ‘homemade bomb, detonators’ at Rockingham home

A Rockingham man has been arrested after the police bomb squad allegedly discovered a homemade pipe-bomb filled with nuts and bolts inside his home.

Michael Lee Dolan, 30, was charged with making or possession of explosives under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday following a raid of his Harrison Street property.

During the search, police also allegedly discovered two detonators and a flask containing ammonium nitrate, which is commonly used to make explosives.

A homemade Taser, 82 grams of methylamphetamine, one gram of cannabis and glass and plastic smoking pipes were also allegedly seized from the property.
