Unconscious duo found in car with engine still running charged with drug trafficking

A man and woman found unconscious in a car with the engine still running have been charged with multiple drug trafficking offences.

Police located the man and woman in their 20s in a Holden Commodore in Ranfurlie Avenue, Point Cook about 6.30am on Friday during a welfare check.

A search of the car resulted in the alleged discovery of 33 grams of methamphetamine, 233 grams of GHB, 1.7 grams of ecstasy, stolen goods and cash.

A warrant executed at the 23-year-old man’s home resulted in investigators finding what is alleged to be ecstasy and methamphetamine.

The Point Cook man was charged with trafficking drugs of dependence, possessing drugs of dependence, committing an indictable offence whilst on bail and driving whilst disqualified.

His car was impounded.

The 22-year-old South Kingsville woman was charged with trafficking drugs of dependence, possessing drugs of dependence and handle stolen goods.

The pair have been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
