Man ‘assisting police’ with drive-by shooting investigation after cars found

At least three vehicles were thought to have been involved, and police thought they were likely to have attracted the attention of the public due to the manner in which they were being driven in and around the Burpengary East estate.

Images were released of the vehicles, believed to be known to people in the Burpengary or Caboolture areas.

By Sunday evening, police had tracked down a white 2002 to 2007 series Toyota Corolla and a blue Holden Commodore sedan but were still looking for a silver Ford Falcon XR8 utility with no number plates.

The Toyota had at least three occupants and footage showed it leaving the estate in the direction of North Harbour, police said.

Detectives believed the Ford Falcon was being chased by the blue Holden Commodore at some point.

Anyone who sees the vehicles should not approach them but call police immediately. And anyone with information, dashcam or home CCTV footage that could assist with the investigation should call Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
