If the crowd support was to decide the winner of Saturday’s Magic Millions Classic, the unbeaten Queenslander Dusty Tycoon would continue her fairytale run on the Gold Coast.
The horse sold by Mirunners as part of a Racing Queensland package to bring more people into the sport has won both her starts at Sunshine Coast and Doomben to roars usually saved for biggest days of racing. So, she finds herself at one on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
Her ownership group numbers more than 700 and has been given a special area turning out of the straight at the Gold Coast for Saturday.
“If she is in front at the 100 metres they might just lift her home,” trainer Robert Heathcote said. “I have won group 1 races and have seen the excitement of that, but her two wins have been so satisfying.
