Boy, one, fighting for life after being left in hot car

A one-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being left in a hot car outside a pub south-west of Melbourne.

Emergency services were called to Sneydes Road in Point Cook at 3.15pm on Wednesday, when the temperature was sitting at 33 degrees.

The boy was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

The Brook pub was roped off by police and shut on Wednesday afternoon, photos by local media channel Point Cook TV show.

Calls to The Brook went unanswered on Wednesday night.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
