Jesse Hogan shock: Star Docker takes personal leave from club

“The club requests that Jesse and his family’s privacy is respected at this time … and we will provide an update on Jesse’s health and wellbeing in due course.”

Fremantle’s lauded recruitment of Hogan was thrown into chaos on the eve of the 2019 season, and in November flipped his Volkswagen SUV after crashing it into a parked car in Perth’s south in the middle of the day outside the Bicton home of teammate Joel Hamling.

The 195-centimetre forward returned to his home state after playing five seasons with Melbourne, where he kicked 152 goals in 71 games but missed their impressive 2018 finals series after suffering a nasty injury to the navicular bone in his foot in round 21, which he is still recovering from after a recurrence while playing for the Dockers last year.
