Perth Glory’s London Football Exchange sale plan collapses

Perth Glory owner Tony Sage has confirmed the potential sale of a majority stake in the club to the London Football Exchange will not be pursued.

On Thursday February 13, Mr Sage told Football Federation Australia he had received unsolicited interest from a potential buyer and would travel to London to work with his lawyers to organise a due diligence process.

“At no time did Tony Sage request FFA to review any application for sale,” a statement from FFA read.

But the deal came under increasing scrutiny after more information about the LFE and its founder, Jim Aylward, came to light.
