A Queensland woman has denied murdering a brother and sister more than 15 years ago.

April and Ian Bailey were found dead inside their burnt-out home at Deception Bay, north of Brisbane, on May 28, 2004.

Danielle Lee Fels pleaded not guilty in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday to two counts of murder and one count of arson.

She was charged about 12 years after the deaths of the siblings.

Drug use would be mentioned during the trial, said Justice Peter Flanagan.

The trial is expected to last about five weeks.
