Tigers, GWS bar visitors in response to coronavirus

Richmond have joined Greater Western Sydney in closing off access to visitors to the football department and club as a precaution due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Tigers confirmed on Tuesday that they had decided to “minimise” visitors, especially to the football department, as part of a response to the potential spread of the virus.

The team that the Tigers defeated in the 2019 grand final, GWS, also confirmed that they had closed off access to non-essential visitors – such as schoolkids – for the next couple of weeks, after which the club would reassess the situation.

Richmond, like the Giants, have a relatively high volume of visitors, with an Indigenous learning centre at Punt Rd and a large array of community activities that routinely bring groups and individuals to the club.
