Cancelled public transport timetables resume as WA schools head back

All WA public bus services will return to their normal timetable ahead of schools opening this week for term 2, with full train services set to be back on track from early May.

The government had initially planned a staged and scaled return to public transport service that were reduced due to the coronavirus pandemic, but community feedback proved the need had been heightened with the return of school this week.

From Wednesday, bus services, including all metropolitan and regional school services, will resume their normal timetable.

Trains will continue in the current pattern – an enhanced Saturday timetable, with additional peak period services and earlier services on most lines on weekdays – until going back to normal operations on May 4.
