Coincidentally, WA Governor Kim Beazley had a plan to open up the Government House ballroom to help breathe life into an arts sector struggling with the impact of COVID-19.
It was, Ms Kirkman said, “wonderful timing”.
And so a Sunday Afternoon with the UWA Choral Society came to be. Ms Kirkman said the society had a “delightful afternoon of music, from Renaissance to Romantic” planned, with an extra treat coming in performances from three WA Academy of Performing Arts prize-winning music students.
Sunday Afternoon with the UWA Choral Society will be held at 3pm on August 30, in the Government House ballroom. Tickets are $25, including refreshments afterwards, from TryBooking.
