NSW’s Origin wildcard to replace Trbojevic

The Eels bowed out of the finals in straight sets after a Damien Cook-inspired Rabbitohs ran riot in the second half to beat Brad Arthur’s side 38-24 at Bankwest Stadium.

The Parramatta quartet are likely to join Roosters stars Boyd Cordner, James Tedesco, Luke Keary, Angus Crichton and Daniel Tupou in the NSW squad after the two-time defending premiers bowed out of the title race at the hands of Canberra on Friday night.

Fittler has already included six players in his squad: Payne Haas (Broncos), Jake Trbojevic (Sea Eagles), Tyson Frizell (Dragons), Zac Lomax (Dragons), Cameron McInnes (Dragons) and Daniel Saifiti (Knights).
