Cricket Australia’s Head of Big Bash Leagues Alistair Dobson said Mujeeb and the Heat had the governing body’s support and all Queensland government protocols would be followed.
Mujeeb can bowl both leg-spin and off-spin and is the International Cricket Council’s number two ranked T20 International spinner.
BBL10 will be Mujeeb’s third season with the Brisbane Heat and he has taken 15 wickets in 18 BBL games so far.
He was named Brisbane Heat’s Player of the Season in his first season with the club.
