Former McGrath CEO joins rival The Agency

But with Mr Lucas on board, The Agency says it will look to expand further into the lucrative high-end Sydney residential and commercial real estate sectors.

In an ASX statement, Mr Lucas will be paid $550,000 inclusive of superannuation, short- and long- term incentives and options to buy shares.

It’s a well-remunerated company, according to the last annual report, with Andrew Jensen, the chairman on a base salary of $410,000, Mr Lahood on a base salary of $536,000 and managing director Paul Niardone on a base salary of $390,000.

“We are pleased Geoff has agreed to join The Agency, given his immense experience and success in the real estate sector,” Mr Jensen said.

Mr Lucas said the opportunity to work again with Matt Lahood as real estate chief executive “with whom I worked for eight years at McGrath is particularly exciting given the success we shared in growing our people and the business whilst delivering exceptional customer service”.
