“He’s here in our hotel but he can’t leave his room. He’s got a nice view of the tennis court. The other day he said he was able to say hello to a few of the Warriors boys as they played tennis. He also shaved his head. We told him to do it, so he went straight down the middle of his head.
“He got into some great form during Origin, I know he didn’t play that last game, but he led their [Queensland’s] line speed and aggression. He’s a workhorse. In that second game he made a point of leading the way.
“He put a shot on Daniel Saifiti, and I don’t think anyone has hit Daniel Saifiti like that before. With him coming off the bench here for us with a bit of leg speed, it adds another dynamic to our forward pack.”
James Tedesco (rested) returns for the Roosters, while Billy Smith retains his starting centre spot with Josh Morris listed on the extended bench for the game against Newcastle who are still without Mitchell Pearce (hamstring).
Ryan Papenhuyzen is set to make his return from concussion for Melbourne, having been named on the bench, with Cameron Munster to be given a spell and Cooper Johns to play five-eighth against the Cowboys.
Superstar trio Tom and Jake Trbojevic and skipper Daly Cherry-Evans return for Manly in their game against the Wests Tigers while former Sea Eagle Addin Fonua-Blake will skipper the Warriors.
