A second student at Brisbane Girls Grammar School has tested positive for coronavirus.
The school in Brisbane’s Spring Hill on Thursday reported a second student had tested positive to COVID-19, following the first student on Monday.
Brisbane Girls Grammar said on Saturday they were advised a parent had tested positive to the virus, and they had previously attended the school on Friday from 5.25pm to 8.30pm during the Open Day.
There are now three cases linked to the school.
“One parent and one student have tested positive to COVID, as confirmed by Qld Health,” the school posted online.
“In summary, anyone who was on our Spring Hill campus between 8am and 8.30pm on Friday, July 30 is considered a close contact and must quarantine with their household until 11.59pm on Friday August 13.”
The state recorded 16 community cases on Thursday, with several schools linked to the Indooroopilly State High School Delta cluster.
All 16 new cases were linked to the cluster, with three students and nine household contacts linked to Ironside State School and one teacher, two students and one household contact linked to Brisbane Grammar.
