Three male youths – two aged 17 and one 15-year-old – have been charged with trying to kill two Brisbane teenagers in separate attacks within two hours of each other.
Both alleged attacks occurred on August 28 and both victims were 17-year-old males, with one taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other suffered serious head injuries.
The first incident occurred about 3am that day when at least 10 males went to a Railway Terrace apartment in Milton and were allegedly let in by people who had rented the unit overnight.
The group was accused of attacking the victim while he slept, leaving him with extensive head injuries and on life support in hospital with brain hypoxia.
On September 1, detectives charged 10 males aged between 15 and 19 and all from Brisbane’s southside with one count each of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm over that attack.
They have all since appeared in various Brisbane courts and had their matters heard.
On Tuesday night, police released a statement saying three of those 10 youths had also been hit with a separate attempted murder charge over the second attack in West End.
It will be alleged a different 17-year-old male was the victim of that attack, which occurred at a Cordelia Street apartment complex about 5am on August 28.
It will be alleged there was a party at the unit complex that night involving several teenage boys, and that the victim suffered non-life-threatening facial injuries in the attack.
